The need for designing and implementing the program has arisen due to the increase in the influx of non-native speakers into the country for work purposes or for medical tourism. Training Objectives
- To formulate the medication history in writing in English
- To identify the type of pain of a patient
- To document the dietary needs history of patients in writing in English
- To explain the hygiene needs of patients in English
- To identify the type of wounds in various parts of the body
- To describe the symptoms and health condition of a patient in English
- To enumerate and document the symptoms of serious illnesses at key vital points in English
- To apply the appropriate phrasing and vocabulary in English to produce written and spoken language
- To communicate with patients by listening to and recording their medical history
- To show interest and identify the needs of the patients
- To show respect to patients by listening to and recording their medical history
Candidate Description for Participation
The program is aimed at nursing, medical, paramedical, and administrative staff of hospitals, clinics, and other medical centers, to improve their knowledge of English for specific purposes of communication with patients. This improvement will enhance the level of information collected from the patient, for the most appropriate treatment required, and monitoring during treatment
